Brothers and Sisters,
Once again, I am asking you to rise to the occasion, once again a call to action! The Illinois House Bill HB2524 – VEH CD- FREIGHT TRAIN LENGTH has been assigned to a committee and we MUST “slip” this committee as a proponent (supporter) of this legislation. Please review the attached instruction sheet and proceed to ilga.gov to start the process.
The hearing is scheduled for March 15th at noon. It is highly likely that I will be testifying at this hearing with other involved parties including SMART-TD. It should be a live broadcast at the same site (ilga.gov) under the HOUSE menu called AUDIO/VIDEO – Virtual Room 2.
I am asking you to inspire your fellow rails, your friends, your family and neighbors to “slip” in support of this common sense proposed law. Feel free to share and distribute the review sheet.
